The Cincinnati Scholar House is an affordable housing community designed to provide a stable living and learning environment for low-income single parents and their dependent children while the parent attends post-secondary classes. While the parents are in school, their children will be enriched by an on-site infant to pre-K child development center. By providing this support, the Cincinnati Scholar House can assist single parents in achieving full-time employment and economic stability. Their mission is to break the cycle of poverty and achieve transformative change through education – two generations at a time.
Affordable Housing
Cincinnati Scholar House provides safe and affordable housing to single-parent college students, along with on-site childcare and the supportive services needed to succeed.
The Cincinnati Scholar House is NOT an Emergency Shelter. If you are in need of an Emergency Shelter, please call the Central Access Point (513) 381-SAFE (7233), or text (513) 970-1515.

On Site Childcare & Early Learning Education
While their parent is at school, children aged 6 weeks thru 6th grade receive care and early learning education on site at our 5-star rated child development cener.

Cincinnati Scholar House Parents are connected with economic supports including a work-study program, financial aid, mentoring, and other workshops that will assist them in their roles as students, heads of household, and future employees.

Christ Church Cathedral is an Episcopal congregation that has a history philanthropic service and community outreach that extends back over almost two centuries.
The Model Group is an integrated property development, construction, and management company with a passion for revitalizing urban neighborhoods.
